Samuel Tadesse Kosha is a third-generation coffee producer from Tobitu Tuta village in the Uraga district of Guji, Ethiopia. Together with his father, Tadesse, Samuel continues a family legacy that began with his grandfather, Kosha Bale, who originally established the farm.
Since taking over the family land, Samuel and his father have expanded the farm from its humble beginnings to 120 hectares, carefully cultivating coffee while preserving the area's rich biodiversity.
Their farm is exceptionally fertile, with coffee trees grown under the shade of a diverse mix of fruit trees, including avocado, banana, papaya, and custard apple. This agroforestry approach creates a healthy ecosystem that enhances both the quality of the coffee and the surrounding environment. The family also maintains multiple beehives, producing distinctive local honey that reflects the unique flora of the farm.
