Geisha Marcela is one of the most unique and demanding coffees produced at the EL VERGEL. This varietal is grown on the highest part of the estate and was planted based on the soil and climate conditions to promote an extended growth of the cherries to promote higher Brix content.
This Geisha is a mix of 4 genetic branches, which gives more complexity to the profile. The producers chose a Carbonic maceration fermentation to obtain a unique flavor profile. After a very first tasting of this coffee, we got convinced that they skillfully performed this task. They managed to achieve an intense, bold cup and at the same time preserved the unique characteristics and delicacy of the variety.
